The program then begins with an comprehensive intake, observation at home & the child’s educational institution (if applicable). Includes listening to the child’s perspective if applicable and gathering information from the family and relevant professionals.
Recommendations would then be provided for the family and school/kindergarten on how to best support the child. The program also involves ongoing training & support/collaboration for parents/professionals & continual evaluation of program effectiveness.
βHOW LONG IS A PROGRAM?
βThe program continues until the child’s family/professionals can continue without ongoing support. Previous programs have spanned from 1 to 3 years.
βWHAT HAPPENS IN A PROGRAM?
βC KIDS THRIVE focuses on working with the whole family. The program for the children is play-based (for developmentally ‘younger’ children) with specific strategies to highlight their strengths and scaffold their learning to manage their challenges.
